Humanitarian Immigration Options: Protection When You Need It Most
A Different Kind of Immigration Case
Not every immigration story begins with a job or marriage. Some begin with survival.
Humanitarian immigration options exist to protect people who’ve experienced abuse, crime, or crisis — and to give them a legal way forward.
At Brozovich Law, I handle these cases with the care they deserve. My job is to make the process understandable, private, and steady, even when life has been anything but.
How Humanitarian Relief Works
USCIS offers several paths for people who need protection or independence. Each program has its own rules, but the goal is the same: to keep families safe and stable while honoring the courage it takes to come forward.
VAWA Self-Petitions (Form I-360)
For spouses, children, or parents of U.S. citizens or residents who have suffered abuse or extreme cruelty. VAWA lets you apply for your own green card without the abuser’s help or knowledge.
U Visa for Victims of Crime
For victims of certain crimes who cooperate with law enforcement and suffer substantial harm. The U visa offers some protection, work authorization, and eventually a path to permanent residence.
Why These Cases Matter
Humanitarian cases are where law meets humanity. They require both technical precision and empathy.
The evidence may include therapy records, personal statements, and memories that aren’t easy to revisit — but those stories deserve to be told clearly and safely.
My approach is patient and private. We go step by step: gathering documents, setting a safe mailing address, and building the kind of case USCIS can understand and respect.
